This baby girl is movin' out East with her new people, Beau and Samantha, who were owned by Snowball/Saikobi from one of our very first litters. Repeats 04/26/2015

Can't tell you how thrilled I am that 4 of the 6 families waiting for this litter are back for seconds, even thirds.

They were five days early. Surprise, surprise!!!

BABIES ARE HERE!!! Five days early! 05/07/2015

1) 5:30 p.m. GIRL, but unfortunately she didn't survive the birth. It just happens sometimes and it's very sad but we have to think of the other seven little miracles.

2) 6:34 p.m. GIRL Same old, same old. All the babies are very dark with a variety of white markings on feet and tail and chest and tummy. This baby girl has a white knee sock on her front left leg and lots of white on her chest and tummy. The other three feet just have white toes. She has a small white tip on her tail.

3) 9:02 p.m. GIRL Just to be different, this baby girl has a white knee sock on her right front leg. Pretty much exactly like her older sister but opposites.

4) 10:55 p.m. GIRL This little precious has very little white. White toes on all four feet.

5) 11:10 p.m. BOY This guy is also very dark. He doesn't even have a white tip on his tail.

6) 12:39 a.m. BOY He's got the most white. Both front legs have white knee socks.

7) 1:13 a.m. BOY He's also got white knee socks on both front legs and a tiny white tip on his tail.

8) 2:23 a.m. GIRL Last but not least, baby girl has white toes on her left front and her right front foot is all white. It's going to be rough telling this gang apart at first.

We're going to nickname this bunch after the "X-Men", for which I haven't a clue, but I know two teenage boys who are experts on the subject.

05/12/2015 Babies are 5 days old. Today was actually their due date. We're ahead of schedule. :) Course, remember I mentioned what a great mama Suji is? This is what happened when I was gone for three hours and had locked her out of the puppy cage.

That cage was built over 25 years ago and weighs a ton. There's an air conditioner stored on top with a bunch of other junk. Don't know how she moved it. I couldn't.

After the initial shock, panic set in. There were only six puppies in the cage! How in the world??? I looked around the other side and there he was. In a pile of shedded debris. Just sleepin'. HOLY COW!!!

All's well, thank the Lord! I took these two pictures when they were two days old.

The ones with matching white knee socks are boys.

Not much to see yet. Still look like little chubby rats.

At this point I see no sign of any long coats. They all have very plush thick coats.

In another week I'll start feeding them "Purina Puppy Chow" mixed with "Diamond Naturals". I soak it until it's mush. At about 4 weeks they'll start eating it dry. We'll need to help mama feed this crew. I'll also de-worm them, for the first time, at two weeks. I'll continue the de-worming every two weeks until they leave. I used to start shots but some vets started getting funny about that and repeating the shots claiming not to trust that the breeder did it correctly.

Soon I'll assign their nicknames. I try to leave them alone for the first week. Why make mama nerous?

05/14/2015 Babies are a week old. They're all doing very well. There are a couple of tanker boys in the group.

05/17/2015 Babies are 10 days old. They're growin' like weeds! All fat and sassy!

Nickname time I guess. We'll start with the easiest first; #6 BOY is "Colossus" cuz he's the biggest. For now anyway. Then, #7 BOY we'll nickname "Gambit". I'm told these are all "X-man".

That leaves the darkest guy, #5 BOY, "Beast".

The girls, we'll go with the two "J" names for lefty and righty. #2 GIRL is "Jubilee" and #3 GIRL will be "Jean". Jubilee's knee sock is on the left and Jean's is on the right. Last but not least....

#4 GIRL = "Rogue" and #8 GIRL = "Storm". Now, for trying to label the little almost monsters. Wish me luck. :)

Not real thrilled about it. I wonder if they don't like the "Diamond" brand? I may switch back to all "Purina Puppy Chow".

05/27/2015 Babies are going to be 3 weeks old tomorrow!!!

Mike, Hope, Dylan and Kyle come up to visit the babies this past weekend. They brought me all kinds of goodies. Y'all will be happy to ear that among the goodies was a CAMERA!! and a puppy heating pad and a food processor to chop up the liver for the doggie cookies. THANKS TONS YOU GUYS!!! Hope took some pictures too!

The babies got invited to a little girls birthday party today. In a couple weeks I think I'll take um'. Good travel experience and socialization.

Can you see a difference in Beast's coat?

He and Rogue may be long coats.

I'm almost sure Beast is. Jury's still out on Rogue.

05/30/2015 The little tankers are almost 3 1/2 weeks. Eating like little pigs. It wasn't that they didn't like the puppy slop cuz they chow it now. It just must have been too soon for them. They were five days early.

Mike and Hope, who have first pick girl, came to visit and gave me their camera!! THANKS AGAIN!!! You guys should be excited too cuz I think the pictures will be much better. I took these with it. I still have to adjust the size. I'll go a tad bigger so you can see them better. These were just practice and I wasn't keeping track of who was who. I do know that's Beast always trying to look out of the cage. They'll get their freedom next week. I gotta' make sure they are big enough to get out of Suji's water dish if they'd happen to fall or get pushed in.

Can you tell them apart? :)

06/01/2015 Babies are 3 1/2 weeks and I don't think it gets much cuter than this.

Daddy - Makato's Grommet. He's my buddy and protector. Not sure what he'd do in a scary situation but the bad guys don't know that. :)

Mommy - Mama's Suji Mokushi is lookin' a little dirty but she's blowin' her coat and she'll be shiny white in a couple weeks. She's a very good mama!

We out grew the cage/whelping box so we're out freeee in the puppy room already.

Too many babies in that small area. It was getting too hard to keep it clean. So, they're loose and lovin' it. They all trotted right out of the cage. Not a sissy in the bunch. Although, I tried to coax them out on the deck this morning and I guess they're a little to little for that adventure.

They're all eating well, I even caught one of them stealing Mom's chow. I'll probably try to feed them dry puppy food by the end of the week.
