My beautiful girl a couple weeks after her first birthday!!
This baby girl is movin' to Memphis with Brian and his family. They too are repeats. They have Dino/Kona from Suji's "Flintstone" litter. Deposit 01/13/2012
Almost summer now. I'm sooooooo excited!!! My baby girl is turning out very nicely. She's tall and thin right now but still filling out.
It's July 13th and it's almost time!!! I see a "picnic" in our near future!!!
The big guy is my Grommet.
Here's my Whiskey with TWENTY DAYS TO GO!!!
We had our picnic!!! Very romantic. Well, Grommet thought so. Not so sure about Whiskey. hehe
That's Pete and the Poodle. Whiskey's very good friends.
Anyone not getting their baby out of this litter will get moved to the top of Suji's Spring litter in order of deposit.
09/09/2012 We have ELEVEN days to go!!
Whiskey's breeder, Jill, said that Whiskey's mama didn't even look pregnant until a couple weeks before she was due. Then she "ballooned up" she said. :)
09/17/2012 BABIES ARE HERE!!!
#1) GIRL Born at 4:19 p.m. She has a white nose. She looks fawn with brown over-lay but she'll probably be a red like her mama. Whiskey's first litter so I'm only guessing. She's got a white sock on her right front foot and white toes on the left. She's got a white tip on her tail and white socks on her back feet. She's been grumbling since the minute she was born.
#2) GIRL Born 7:15 p.m. Looked exactly like #1 at birth but maybe a little darker. She has more white on her tail and on her nose. Darker face though. Four pretty much matching white feet. Really light around the back of her neck. She may be a red also.
#3) BOY Born 7:35 p.m. Finally a boy!!! He's dark. White nose and all four feet have white toes. He's got a small white tip on his tail and a little white line on his forehead. Not sure if the dark ones will look like Whiskey's daddy or Grommet's daddy.
#4) GIRL Born 8:39 p.m. Another dark baby. Tiny white tip on her tail. White nose and chin. Really white under her chin with a long white line runnin' down her tummy. She's got white toes all the way around. Surprise, surprise...
#5) GIRL Born 9:05 p.m. We've got some markings!!! Yah! She's got a white knee sock on her front left leg and a white sock on the other. She's got white knee socks on the back feet too and a large white tip on her tail. She's got a lightning bolt between her shoulders and a white stripe on her forehead. White nose too.
Nice fat healthy babies and mama is doing great! I can't tell #4 girl and #3 boy apart unless I can see their faces. That'll change once we get to know each other better. :)
So, what should we nickname these guys? Or, gals, should I say? We didn't have enough boys for everybody. Some will get moved to Suji's spring litter. Sorry guys.
Nicknames, thanks to Tori, "Fashion Designers".
We've nicknamed the babies so we don't have to refer to them by numbers. :) Of course the new owners can name them anything they wish.
#1 Girl - Nina
#2 Girl - Vera
#3 Boy - Giorgio
#4 Girl - Coco
#5 Girl - Valentina
Between Jager's litter and this litter there are at least two girls available. Jager's litter
09/20/2012 Babies are three days old. Everybody is happy and healthy. Whiskey needs some nanny lessons but she'll learn.
Whiskey just about smothered Giorgio and Nina last night. I'm going to have to keep a close eye on her.
Beautiful babies! Pretty sure Nina is a red!
Coco is the darkest at this point. Vera may be a daddy ditto???
This guy is movin' to Viola, Wi. with Dr. and Mrs. Deposit 04/18/2012
09/22/2012 Babies are 5 days old today.
Not getting much sleep but the babies are fat and sassy and that's what counts.
Whiskey is starting to figure it out. She's tryin' to be a good mama.
All the white noses will turn black. The leather part of the nose anyway. You can see tiny black dots starting to fill in already.
09/26/2012 Babies are 9 days old today.
You can see Coco's nose is already black. She's also HUGE. Quite a bit bigger than the rest of the puppies.
Nothing much to report yet. Still little wiggle worms. Eyes aren't open yet and I don't think they can hear yet either. They all have really nice heads and coats. I don't think we got any long coats.
They all seem to be getting lighter except maybe Coco. She's still pretty black. Nina is really red, which you can't see too well in the pictures. Everybody else has kinda' red shading.
09/30/2012 Babies will be two weeks old tomorrow.
Can't see him very well but that's a bear head if I've ever seen one. :)
We tried puppy slop for the first time yesterday. Not too popular yet. I think their mama is keepin' um' pretty full.
Valentina stuck with it the longest. Tomorrow I'll de-worm them for the first time and every two weeks while they're here.
This baby girl is movin' to Stacy, Mn. with Casey and Kelly. Deposit 10/01/2012
10/03/2012 Babies are sixteen days old.
I de-wormed them and all's clear. Their eyes are opening now. Starting to be little people.
II had to pull Coco out of the pan about three times. She's into her chow!
< Giorgio climbin' on Valentina
10/03/2012 Babies will be three weeks old tomorrow! Sheesh.
After lunch we took our first trip outside. Weren't too thrilled about it. Nina is yawning. Some of us still have puppy slop on our noses. "Purina Puppy Chow" slop. You can change over to any other puppy food just do it gradually.
Why does the puppy slop taste better on the opposite side of the pan?
Mom and the Poodle watching from afar.
Puppy pile on Valentina! >
Coco is still the biggest and today, the most brave.
10/13/2012 Babies will be four weeks old in two days! Sheesh. Sorry I haven't taken pictures lately. I'm really swamped with taxes and other puppies. Tax deadline is the 15th so I'll have plenty of time after that. :)
We woke Nina up from her nap!
Coco and Nina are the most bold. They check everything out. One of the two is probably alpha. Too early to tell. They've both growled at me.
Our first full day free of the whelping box!
Some of us went right back to sleep. We don't care if it's picture time.
10/15/2012 Babies are four weeks old today! I de-wormed them for the second time.
< She's just BIG and darn self confident. >
Georgio is the smallest at this point. Won't take long for that to change!
Nina is kinda' jumpy. I tossed a toy into the room, near her, and she squawked. Their mother is a bit of a flighty girl and she steps on them a lot. Probably why Nina is jumpy. She'll grow out of it. Or Whiskey will figure it out. One or the other.
^ Nina's trying to scratch her chin.
We still sleep most of the time. Some are eating the dry puppy chow now.
Just went to Whiskey's page to compare these guys with relatives. Coco looks exactly like Whiskey's daddy Lotto. Check it out; Whiskey
I think Georgio is starting to look like Whiskey's grandpa, Nitro. Just guessing though. Vera is lookin' kinda' silver. Nina is definitely a red. I'm not sure on Valentina. Maybe like grandma Paris. Whiskey's mama?
Valentina has the thickest legs and biggest feet so far.
This baby girl is movin' to Bloomington, In. with Suzanne and her gang. Deposit 10/17/2012
10/16/2012 Babies were four weeks old yesterday. We had our first trip out on the big giant deck!
Coco barged right out on the deck. Then came Georgio. I had to carry both Vera and Nina out. They both spent much time contemplating the move. Val was the third to emerge. :)
< Not pooping, just wanted you to see the coloring.
Guess we're outta' space. Time for the Next Page
New name; They'd rather not say.
