Welcome to Page #2 of Suji n' Grommet's 2016 Litter!
Glad to have yah!

"Come on in, set a spell, take your shoes off..."
It's 05/03/2016 little miracles are 16 days old today.
Suji is such a good mama and everybody is doing great!
Since they're mountain dogs this gang is nicknamed after mountains.
Rain's > nose has filled in even more.
Still not sure if we have any long coats or not. I'm pretty sure Everest/Sumo is not and neither is Denali.
Wish you could see their faces a little more clearly.
Looks like Fuji is going to be running the show. Not Denali. Which is funny cuz she's just like her mama Suji. :)
< Nice round bear head. That could be either Sumo or Denali.
They can hear now and their eyes are opening but I don't think they can see too well yet.
05/04/2016 And we're 17 days old. 2 1/2 weeks and they're already trying to get out of the pen. It's not that they don't like the pen. Mom and breakfast are on the outside.
Look at the size of that girl!!!
Awww, so precious!! They're almost little people now.
Look at who's first to attempt the great escape!
Guess I better put a second board up there.
Don't want them getting out and not being able to get back in. I'll take the boards off next week and they'll have run of the puppy room but not yet.
Ted and Mary will come this weekend and pick out Misty. Then it will be Shan-Aan and Aaron's turn to decide who's going to be Kaya. The last precious little girl will be Bo's and I don't know if he has a name picked out yet.
05/06/2016 Babies will be 3 weeks old in 2 days. Still pretty chow motivated. They're all really chubby. No worms, that's all puppy. hehe
That's it for now. Camera ran outta' juice. We'll see if we can get Ted and Mary to hold the kids for pictures. They're still little wiggle worms though.
05/07/2016 Babies will be 3 weeks old tomorrow. Mary and Ted were here and now they can't decide between Denali and Rainier. They'll be back next Friday and hopefully the pups will be more interactive. :) They took pictures too so maybe we'll see some good ones.
Can y'all tell them apart now?
That's a soup bone by her leg. She'll stash it when the pups are finished. She's such a good girl. Most of the time. hehe
Next shots, courtesy of Ted and Mary! Thanks you guys!
Rain's nose is getting there. hehe
Thought that was Fuji but look at her feet.
When trying to find the right puppy for your family there's a little test that you can do. Lay the pup on it's back in your arms. If it wiggles and struggles then that's probably not the puppy for you. < Look at Denali over in Mary's arms. Wonder if she'd mind waking up for a second to allow us to run the test? :) hehehe
< That one is blurry but you can see how big they're getting comparing Rain to the length of the egg carton.
I was trying to figure out why there aren't many pictures of Everest/Sumo and it must be cuz he's always lounging somewhere. I'll try to roust him a bit Kathy and get more pictures for you. :)
Two days ago I weighed them again.
I think they were, roughly;
< Fuji chewin' on me. They're starting to get their little sharp teeth. Puppy slop time.
I took a bunch of close-ups cuz we're trying to figure out if anybody has a long coat.
He's got a little milk pimple.
05/09/2016 Babies were three weeks old yesterday. See the fur on Fuji's ears compared to everybody else's? I think Fuji is a long coat but I'm not 100% sure yet. In one of the shots you can see fur growing up into her eyes. That's a sign.
That would explain her crawling into my lap and making herself at home. She did it today too. She's got the confidence of the long coats.
< See the fur going up into her eyes? She's starting to look like a Poodle.
05/10/2016 Babies are twenty three days old.
We have graduated to newspaper now. Their beautiful white will become a nice shade of gray soon.
You may want to put a piece of newspaper, or two, by the door. If they start snooping around the newspaper you can grab them and take them out.
Remember, no playing outside until they learn what the outside is for.
Pee, Poo, Praise and right back in the house.
05/12/2016 Babies are twenty five days old.
Soup's on! Didn't have to call these guys to the dinner table twice. It took one nose dunk each and CHOW TIME!!!
The puppy slop ALWAYS tastes better on the other side of the pan. I'm CONSTANTLY pulling them back but it's a lost cause.
Switched out the water buckets. I think this one is safe. If they get too far in they can stand up.
Rain come up for air but now she's headin' back into the game! Via the shortest route.
Ever get the feeling > somebody's watching you?
Denali seems to be the most brave and adventurous today.
We all headed back to our big cage to take a nap. Well, most of us made it back.
One of us made it to the door and one of us didn't wanna' get too far away from where the chow magically appears.
Pete came to visit and Rain crawled up in his lap and made herself comfy. Fuji spends most of her time hangin' on me. Sumo went back in the cage and complained for a while. He just wants his mama.
05/13/2016 We're almost 4 weeks old!
Rainier/Misty's nose is almost all the way filled in now. >
Pretty sure Fuji/Kaya is the only long coated baby this time. Still not 100% on that.
Kathy & Peter are coming to visit their boy on Sunday. I'll weigh them and de-worm them again too.
Ted will probably send us some neat pictures from their visit today. Those will be fun. Probably mostly Denali but that's okay. Who could blame them? hehe
05/16/2016 This is going way too fast. Babies were 4 weeks old yesterday.
Ted took these when he and Mary were here on Friday. Thanks you guys!
Poor guy, he's forced to hang out in the puppy cage cuz his sisters are real bitches. hehe In every sense of the word! hehe
If that picture above was a little bit lighter, it would have award winning potential. Well, lighter and maybe photochop away whatever that is on his leg there. :) Is that what it is? Photochop? Shop? Mop?
She was IN the free feeder. I almost panicked cuz I couldn't find her.
< I've seen them 1/2 in and chowing down but nobody has ever actually climbed in and gone to sleep.
Pete came over for his puppy fix. They LOVE him!
We had a very busy weekend. First Ted and Mary came and then Peter and Kathy. My other friend Kathy showed up with her camera. Oh, Mike and Hope and Kyle were here too. Babies got all kinds of luvin'. They also got de-wormed for the second time. No worms found so they're good.
I've tried to coax them out on to the deck but they don't wanna' know about it. Denali was the only one who ventured out. She cased the joint for a couple minutes and then ran back in.
I may have just imagined it but it seemed or felt like they didn't wanna' make eye contact for fear I'd grab them and make them go out. I even got the "I don't want to" bow from Sumo. hehehe They're soooo smart!
Liberty "Libby" the Persian >
Akitas sometimes need a place to rest their big heads. She's practicing. :)
Everybody is going to start getting pretty dingy looking cuz of the newspaper.
