New Name = Crixus

Babies are here !!! Unfortunately we only had four little miracles.

Born two days early on January 16th, 2014. They'll be ready for their new homes any time after March 6th.

#1 Born 1:14 p.m GIRL All the babies are black with white socks and white tips on their tails. I'll have to tell them apart by their size of their socks. This little girl has white feet on the front and white toes in the back. She has a big white triangle on her chest.

#2 Born 2:49 p.m GIRL This little girl has white toes on the front and back. She has the smallest white tip on her tail. She also has a smaller white triangle on her chest. I think she may have the white on the side of her nose like her mama only on the other side. :)

#3 Born 3:34 p.m BOY This little guy has matching white knee socks on the front and white toes in the back. With lots of white from his chin to his belly button.

#4 Born 4:02 p.m GIRL This little girl has the most white on her legs. Her left front is almost totally white and the other has a white knee sock. Both her back feet are white and she has a long white stripe down her tummy.

Meeny has the least amount of white and Miney has the most.

Too early to tell who's going to lighten up and who will stay dark.

01/21/2014 Babies are five days old.

They're still just little black blobs. They'll turn into real people pretty soon. They're all fat and sassy and doin' well. Eeny is the only one who's starting to lighten a little.

I think Eeny is still the biggest but Moe is catchin' up quickly.

They're little tanks already. Plenty of chow. Grandpa Pete is supposed to be bringing over some indoor/outdoor carpeting so we don't get any swimmers in this litter.

They're gettin' BIG. All within about an ounce of each other now. Meeny is still the smallest but not by much. Moe/Akuma seems to be the darkest. The others are starting to turn a little brown.

With small litters like this the pups seem to be a little slow. Shhhhhh, don't tell um' I said that. :) I won't even bother to start puppy slop cuz I know most won't eat it. Just look at their tummies! Maybe in a week or so.

Can't tell yet if we have any long coats. Moe/Akuma seems to have a little wave on his ears but it's too early to tell. Solomon doesn't care anyway. :)

They're starting to really cruise around now. They're also becoming aware of their siblings. Moe/Akuma walked/crawled away from the group to go potty. What a good boy!!!

I plan to de-worm everybody today. I'll keep de-worming every two weeks while they're here. Just as a precaution.

If I had to guess, I'd say Moe/Akuma and Miney are long coats. Only about 25% sure at this point.

50% sure Moe/Akuma is a long coat.

At this point Meeny is the most aware of me. Eeny is more into her siblings and beating them up. Miney is more interested in sleeping and being left alone. And, Moe/Akuma doesn't really seem to care about anything. He and Miney are going to be the most laid back. Meeny is going to want to be around her people and Eeny will probably be the best watch dog. These are just my early observations. We'll have to wait and see...

Coulda' taken more pictures of Akuma but he was busy biting at my pant leg.

They're beginning the cutest stage ever. In a couple weeks they'll begin the piranha stage with those little sharp teeth.

They're all starting to come out of their shells. They all know who grandma is now. I might try some puppy slop this weekend. They don't really need it but I'm thinkin' their mama could use a break.

Suji wants to make sure she gets as much attention as the puppies and Pete's more than happy to oblige. :)

We let them out of the cage last night for the first time. Nobody cared. They all cruised around like they owned the place. Now Meeny thinks she should be free all the time.

Travis and Jodie are comin' to pick their baby girl this weekend. Stay tuned!!!

They got their second de-worming yesterday and they're all eating dry puppy food.

I made a free feeder out of the "Kirby" carrying case. They spill and waste less.

02/21/2014 Babies were 5 weeks old yesterday!

So sorry I haven't gotten any new pictures on here lately. I'm really swamped with taxes. I can assure you that I am spending a bunch of quality time with the babies. That's most important.

02/25/2014 Babies are almost 6 weeks old!!!

They're really getting big and they don't care if I want them to hold still for pictures. They love cookies and treats and they love their gamma'.

03/01/2014 Babies are six weeks and two days!!!

It's pretty much outta' control now. I let the little monsters have run of half the house. First thing Massey did was find my slipper.

Sure would be nice if they could play outside!!!
