09/15/2012 Babies were three weeks old yesterday. We've made the big move out to the barn kennel. Whiskey is due on Thursday, the 20th, so she needs to take over the puppy room.

Pretty much everybody was complaining at first. Spanky didn't seem to care about his new surroundings.

Above is Darla hollerin' at her mother. Apparently she thought everybody should have their lunch on the rug.

Isn't it amazing how they've grown in just three weeks?

I'll have to get up a few times the next couple of nights to go out and check on them. I'll leave the barn light on.

09/18/2012 Babies are 3 1/2 weeks old.

Mama watchin' um' eat their lunch. It must look good. She's lickin' her chops. :)

I haven't had much time to play with them the last two days. I had to be Whiskey's midwife. I tried to get some Miss Crabtree vs. Farina pictures for ya Amy but it's tough. No cooperation. This weekend I'll get Pete to hold them again. As far as personalities, I think Farina is the more laid back one. Miss Crabtree is kind of a go-getter.

They're still pretty little. I'll get to know them better in the next week or so. They're adapting well to the barn kennel.

09/20/2012 Babies will be four weeks old tomorrow.

^ Darla/Athena eating big doggie food!

I put them all in the outside part of the kennel and they all ran right back in.

I think Miss Crabtree is alpha female. That's her > grabbing and chewing on my ankle. And so it begins! The piranha stage.

Buckwheat is the most standoffish at this point. When I go in and sit down with them he's the last to come and see what's up. Today he just laid down behind me. He watches out the door. Going to be a good watch dog.

Wheezer/Nyoko and Miss Crabtree are the first to dive into my lap. Buck doesn't really care what we're doing but Farina sits and watches from a short distance. Doesn't wanna' be in the thick of things but doesn't wanna' miss anything either.

Miss Crabtree bites the hardest, so far, and Darla/Athena likes to chew on my toes. She'll have lots of toes to chew on where she's goin'! Jensen, Parker and Reese better hide your toes!!!

Spanky/Haji is a pretty calm guy but he was draggin' Darla/Athena around by her tail today. I told him he better knock it off or his new daddy was going to spank him. Blew me right off. :) (We don't spank of course, that was just an idle threat.) :)

Tomorrow they'll get their second de-worming. Man time flies!!!

09/26/2012 Babies will be 5 weeks old in a couple days. They're growin' like weeds!

Some of um' come out of the barn and bark when people come over. Pretty darn cute!

I had Darla/Athena and Spanky/Haji labeled incorrectly. I think I have them right now. Athena has the white feet in the front. Only Haji's front toes are white. Also, he has a white tip on his tail and she doesn't. And, if that doesn't work I can always flip um' over. :) Sheesh. :)

10/01/2012 Babies will be 6 weeks old in four days.

Um' the Bear game is comin' on and I still have to put these guys away for the night. I'll label these after the game or tomorrow. Can you figure out who's who? :)

Spanky/Haji doesn't like coming out of the kennel. I have to coax him and the next thing I know he sneaks back in there. They all follow me. It's pretty adorable.

They're all eating "Purina Puppy Chow" dry now. No more slop.

I'll de-worm them for the third time on Friday at 6 weeks.

Farina/Mia is the happiest puppy. Buckwheat is the brave guardian. Spanky/Haji is the mama's boy. Not many pictures of him cuz he went back in the kennel. Wheezer/Nyoko is the lover. Miss Crabtree is the boss and the sassiest. Not so many pictures of her cuz she spent most of her free time chewing on my shoe. Darla/Athena is all well rounded. She mostly minds her own business.

Fluff ball is easy to identify.

10/05/2012 Babies are 6 weeks old today.

De-wormed for the third time today.

Farina/Mia and Miss Crabtree were carrying around leaves. Spanky/Haji was helping with the watering.

Love the shots where they're running to me. They actually come when I call.

That'll change in a hurry. :)

I think we have some really nice lookin' babies here. Some will take some time growing into their ears. Everybody goes way off to poo. Except Spanky/Haji. He doesn't care.

We lost our Farina/Mia this year. I think it was a mosquito. She will be greatly missed. She's up at Rainbow's Bridge now runnin' and playin' with all her pals. We'll see you again some day. Love you pretty girl.

Skeeter/Oden got a new, really nice, back yard. Unfortunately he lost his big sister MacKayla/Akita. But look, he's got a new best friend. Introducing Eve/Myau.
