Our first trip outside. Peyton and Flacco were the most brave.

Rodgers was the first to head right to my lap.

A couple of them already have our trademark black skunk stripe.

Woof!

Misty, Cody and their family were just here for a visit. Their first choice would be Cutler. Second choice Flacco. Cody was pretty impressed with Daddy Grommet. Course, Cutler kinda' picked Cody. Puppy's new name will be "Jericho".

Chad was also here this weekend. He really likes Brees. Puppy's new name will be "Nikita", "Niki" for short.

Steph can't decide between Rodgers and Eli.

Kristin likes Eli.

Ron and Megan are leaning towards Peyton. They're coming to visit this weekend!

Haven't heard from Dan and Sharon. They're probably just sitting back and waiting patiently for the others to pick.

One, possibly two, girls are still available.

10/22/10 Babies are 4 weeks and 2 days old.

The boys have all been chosen. Cutler is movin' in with Cody and Misty. Rodgers is movin' to Montana with Stefanie and her gang. Eli is movin' in with Troy and Kristin. Flacco is headin' for Minnesota with Dan and Sharon.

In two days Megan and Ron will be here to pick their girl. They sure have been waiting a long time for this little girl. They're leaning towards Peyton at this point. Chad, who's actually on Suji's spring litter's dibs list, might take Brees if Megan and Ron don't choose her. Rivers still needs a good home.

10/25/10 Babies are almost 5 weeks old. These are the pictures Ron and Megan took yesterday during their visit. Very nice family who chose Peyton to be their forever friend.

10/30/10 Babies are 5 1/2 weeks old! We had our first adventure out with Mama in the big kennel. Well, it's actually our smallest but safest kennel.

Peyton and Eli wanted to go back outside after I brought them in.

They were all very brave and were very curious about the Poodle and other dogs. Eli complained for about 10 minutes when I brought him in.

Their mama is getting pretty sick of them at this point. She's only feeding a couple times a day now. They're eating mostly dry "Purina Puppy Chow" but once a day I still get it warm and soggy for them.

Slightly spoiled, and fat!

11/04/10 Babies were 6 weeks old yesterday!!!

Man that time flew!!!

Okay, this is starting to get outta' hand!!! I have thirteen Akitas bossin' me around!!!

They're all so smart. Some run to the window and/or door when the dogs outside start barking. Most of them go back into the big cage/whelping box to do number two. :) Course, somebody is still pooping right in the middle of the room.

I'm using the vacuum attachment holder as a free feeder. Seems to work pretty well. Less spillage. Guess it's best if you climb right in.

We spend most of our time sleeping and beating each other up.

Peyton's new name is Akasha.

Eli's new name is Khola Kowai. Means volcano terror. Fitting. :)

11/08/10 Babies are almost 7 weeks old.

They're getting so big and they're soooo smart. I open the back door and they all follow me out on the deck and down the three steps and across the yard to their mama. They've been spending these beautiful days outside with her. Saves on newspaper! :)

Cutler/Kiyoshi is leaving tomorrow.

Eli/Kohla is leaving on Thursday.

I miss them already!!!

11/18/10 All my babies are gone now. Boo hoo. I miss them already. Here are some pictures I'm getting from their new famililes. :)

I'm not sure her forelegs should be 1/2 the size of her head??? I think we're talkin' one BIG girl here!!! :)

05/07/2016 Not sure where this extra space came from but I'm going to fill it up. Some pictures of what my babies look like now. I miss their mama, my Jager. She was making some exceptional babies as far as I'm concerned. :)
